And, although the government recommends eating 5 portions of fruit and veg a day as part of a balanced diet, research shows that the average person in the UK eats less than 3.

That's why we've teamed up with Sainsbury's to offer members Vitality points for buying fresh fruit and veg. Whether it's online or at a store, we'll give you 1 Vitality point for every £2 spent.

On top of that, you could now earn Nectar bonus points for your fruit and veg spend. The amount of Nectar bonus points we'll give you depends on your Vitality status.

How do I earn Vitality points?

  1. All you need is a Nectar card, which you can register on our Member Zone
  2. Buy fresh fruit and veg at Sainsbury's using your Nectar card
  3. 1.You could earn 1 Vitality point per £2 spent. You can earn up to 10 Vitality points per week as an individual and up to 20 points on family cover. As an individual you could earn a total of 520 Vitality points a year and 1,040 as a family.

How can I get Nectar bonus points?

Your Vitality status will also help you get some extra Nectar points for your fresh fruit & veg spend. The higher your status, the more Nectar points you can cash in.

For as long as you're with us, you can decide when you want to claim your extra Nectar points – whether every so often or perhaps as one lump sum when you increase your status to make the most of this reward.
