Your employer has chosen to give you a Personal Health Fund increase after renewal to acknowledge your efforts to stay healthy.
With Vitality, our unique rewards programme, the more Vitality points you earn throughout the year, the higher your Vitality status and the greater your personal health fund could be!
What is a PHF?
The PHF, the first of its kind in the UK, is a benefit that helps pay for certain additional services that are not usually covered by private medical insurance. Every year we will give you £100 as an individual or £200 for family cover, when you complete your Personal Health Review online in the Member Zone. This is yours to spend on certain health services throughout the year.
What is a Personal Health Fund increase?
Your employer has chosen to boost your PHF. This means that in addition to your basic PHF, the fund could be increased on renewal by up to £525 or £1050*, depending on your family status.
* For most schemes this may vary according to employer.
How much will you get?
The amount of PHF you receive will depend on
- type of cover you have (single or family)
- your total claims amount paid
- your Vitality status at the end of the scheme year
To see how much your PHF will increase by on renewal, please refer to your Schedule of Benefits.
What treatment can you pay for with your PHF?
Your employer has chosen some great extra private healthcare services for your PHF. You can check what these are by referring to your Schedule of Benefits.
How do you access your PHF?
- Register on the Member Zone and earn yourself 50 Vitality points
- Complete the Personal Health Review and earn 100 Vitality points.
- Complete the PHR after renewal to re-activate your PHF.
How do you claim on your PHF?
- Contact our Claims Team to advise what you’d like to use your PHF towards
- Have the treatment/consultation/appointment
- Pay for this yourself
- Send the invoice and receipt to our Claims Team clearly stating that you would like to use your PHF allowance to pay it.
We will then send you a cheque for the amount claimed, and deduct this from your PHF.
